Organization of an Information and Study Day at the Wilaya of Touggourt
The Public Procurement Fund (CGMP) organized an information and study day on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 in Touggourt on the importance and role of the Fund in supporting and carrying out public projects. This meeting was organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry "Oued Righ" of the Wilaya of Touggourt and under the patronage of the Wali of the Wilaya, Mr. Othmane Abdel Aziz, who opened the day alongside the Director General of the CGMP, Mr. Nasri Oualid. The meeting was also attended by the executives of the wilaya, the security and military authorities, as well as a large number of economic operators, entrepreneurs and institutions.
In his speech, the Director General emphasized the importance that the CGMP attaches to the ten new southern wilayas for local economic development, affirming its full willingness to support all economic operators in order to facilitate the realization of projects and public facilities, whether local or national. The day was also an opportunity to present the services offered by the regional directorate of the South, as well as to present the results and projects financed by the Fund and carried out in the wilaya of Ouargla. This presentation was made by Mr. Mourad LAMRAOUI, Regional Director of the South. Mr. Rachid AMRANI, Head of Islamic Finance at the CGMP, then presented the new Islamic finance product launched by the CGMP. Mr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz Djebou, Head of Legal Affairs and Disputes, then gave a reading of the new perspectives of the Public Procurement Code. An open debate followed, with Islamic finance receiving the lion's share of the questions asked, which the speakers took care to answer.
The meeting ended with the signing of a convention between the CGMP and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry "Oued Righ". This convention grants incentive benefits to all local entrepreneurs in the wilaya. In recognition of the efforts and facilities granted for the success of this event, the CGMP paid tribute to Mr. the Wali of the Wilaya, the President of the Popular Assembly of the Wilaya and the Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry "Oued Righ".
